Maya arrived at her Tae Kwon Do
tournament complete with her own cheering section: Victor; Danette;
Julio; Nina; Lupe (the dog); Jay; and Naomi.
It was impressive to watch
Maya transition from big sister/playmate to Nina during warm ups
to a focused competitor in the ring. Maya, a black belt, won
gold medals in both her forms and individual competitions.
